Glyphsmith is a small, playful tool for making a font out of your own handwriting. It runs entirely in your browser — no accounts, no installs, no design experience needed. If you can draw a letter, you can build an alphabet.
Who it's for
Doodlers, lettering hobbyists, teachers, and anyone curious about how type is made. It works especially well on a tablet or touchscreen, where you can draw glyphs with a stylus or your finger.
How it works
Draw each glyph
Pick a character and sketch it on the canvas. Guides show the baseline, x-height, and cap height so your letters stay consistent.
Preview live
Every stroke updates a live specimen instantly, so you can see how your letters look as real running text.
Export & share
Save the whole set to a JSON file. Import it later to keep editing, or hand it off to someone else.
Your data stays with you
